Have been waiting 3 1/2 years for snow since getting my first HL Tiger. Then it damn well comes on a work day...
Hopefully it'll stay till tomorrow evening! Then I might get some pictures.

The top tip from the tankers on RCPK in Germany is to put the tank outside to acclimatise first. Don't take it straight out from inside and drive it around. Being warm it melts the snow which then refreezes in all the places you don't want it to!
Let it cool down to the ambient outside temperature first for ~30 mins, then drive it.

Rocket, a tank is a tank regardless of scale I thought you would know better, still it shows no matter how big they are they still suffer like the real thing and the bigger they are the bigger the problem
They shall not grow old as we who are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
WE WILL REMEMBER THEM

Rocket, they look even better in the snow. Hopefully it'll clear a bit by Sunday so we can do a few photos. Heres a couple of mine from this morning.

If I remember I tried one of my 1/16 tanks in the fresh snow with the same results, they get stuck very easy.On snow with a frozen crust on top they might work somewhat.Yes the same problem with the 1/6 scale stuarts, they dig in and will high center in three or four inches of fresh snow. And then we haven't talked about all the snow getting bound up in the sprockets, rollers, roadwheels, and idler's that some would expect these underpowered plastic tanks tracks and sprockets to grind up and spit out as they move along. ;D ;D  Ain't going to happen without out the chance of breaking something or burning up a board. ::) ::) Don't know what the limitations was on a real tank, but must assume they could not just go through any ammount of snow.
I have had a few snomobiles over the years,(older style with the single belt)and even they would get stuck in deep soft snow if you tried to make a sharp turn at slow speed, and were a bugger to get them going again. ;D ;D

Guys, first off you have to let those tracks get down to ambient temperature, before you go running them in the snow.  This will help.  Also spray them with a silicone lubricant if you are runnng them in slush.

This is from a Canuck who spends five months a year running tanks in snow.

where I live there is no way I am leaving My Jagdpanther or any other tank outside to cool down to get it to run in the snow. I suppose I could always put them in the freezer to cool them down first, but it is not that big a freezer to go putting a 1/16th tank in
