Dog,
Some close up photos of what the wiring should look like are in the thread. My KV-1 was a Taigen but the KV-2 turret was a Torro also so should be similar.

Hi painless thanks mate I have seen your build (great job by the way) but there is one wire I'm not sure about it's a single red wire and the connection on the end of it looks the same as the areal lead dose this go to a power supply.

Dog,
I used an aerial lead wire from an old HL crystal set tank to connect that by soldering to the ground on the On\Off switch. It's a ground\earth that has to be connected for the flash and gun to work in the turret. I have heard of some guys using the ground\earth from the power supply as well.

Re: torro kv-2 turret wiring
yes I have tried that I have also powered the elevation motor and recoil motor and they both work so I'm a little stuck now and I have made sure the on off switch is in the right position. when all plugged in I only have gun elevation no recoil or flash???

Dog,
Make sure that your 5 pin plug ( a three and a two pin actually ) is plugged in at the right location on your board. If you are using a HL RX type board, it should be the long socket at the upper left corner. ( On the Taigen board, it is the lower left corner, go figure, eh? )

Re: torro kv-2 turret wiring
Hi Dog, when you purchase a Taigen IR tank the wires are already in place but need to be connected. One comes down from the turret and the other is soldered on the backside of the MFU. You can see this in the photo. The two wires I'm speaking of have the metal portion of a tamiya connector on them. The one from the turret I have placed on the track so you can see it. When these two are connected, you will have recoil and barrel flash.

There is another way to do this as Painless has said. The next photo shows part of the harness for the tank on off switch. The white plug goes into the MFU power in from the switch. Again, the wire with the metal portion of the tamiya connector connects to the wire from the turret, it's simply a ground. The other two wires, black and red would go to the on off switch.

Hope this helps.
Joe
