ebay a joke
wanted to buy small pot of tamiya paint 99p + £4-50 postage its getting a bloody joke, cant get paints i want here in ireland
Re: ebay a joke
Damn right it is a joke on postal charges
I found a deans aerial on an ebay shop in America fo $11.95 and they wanted $44.5 to post t to the UK so guess what no sale
I ordered some parts fro RCcommand and that came to $28.86 and postage is $25 which is a lot better
I would expect the postage to double the cost of items from the postage from the USA and not be 4 times the cost of the item

Re: ebay a joke
my first tank i got only cost £16 postage with tracking which was ok i sent militarymight an email asking how much postage is to send a tank the reply was £30-£40 now that is some difference, rctank.de only charge €16-90 up to 5kg so my next tank will be from there

If you think that's bad, look at cell phone accessories. You can get a leather holster for $0.99, but pay $10 for shipping. EBay has rules forpadding shipping and handling, but I've found sellers taht ignore that. You can order and then dispute but it's a pain. And other sellers charge thru the roof for shipping because they will only ship by overnight or something stupid like that. As with shopping anywhere, it's BUYER BEWARE!

Re: ebay a joke
POSTAGE IS SILLY I TOTALLY AGREE. Europe posting for a tank Royal mail quotation is £35-£40 USA is £80. That is why i dont post tanks abroad just UK.
Im still looking into otherways of postage but i think others can do it cheaper is because they are a biggar business and get discounts.
Never mind the small business once again loses out.

Re: ebay a joke
I have been selling on ebay for quite a few years now and have had to ship over sea's quite often, i have given up on royal mail and parcel force as there prices are stupid, i have now found this parcel service (see the link) and the prices are much cheaper, they give you several options and they collect from you, also if you register you get 5% discount everytime you use them, so i recommend them to anybody that sends parcels over sea's or just in the UK.

Re: ebay a joke
I sold some sherman parts and shipped them to California from the UK packed in a jiffy bag and it only cost me £1.45 so £4.50 for a pot of paint is ridiculous >:(
