One thing I forgot to ask, is:- Can the Clark board be programed by any Sony remote, or do you have to have a specific one ? Thanks

Trail,

The Clark board has a spot for the recoil servo so once you have the board you just plug it in. The only thing you have to decide is which direction you want to the servo to pull (and return) which is programmable on the Clark board. You can't really do much until you have the electronics as you will need to see how much space the servo will be pulling and adjust the linkage arm so that itis within the travel of the barrel. You also need to decide where you would like to mount the servo, you can do left or right but also directly underneath as well but it is a little trickier.

Here is a picture of mine and you can see the servo is almost pulling 90 degree on the barrel. I also used a regular servo (HS-311) rather than a sub-micro (HS-81 - 9g type servo). I kept the cam witin the BB frame and put in an attached point for the servo linkage arm to pull.

Trail,

Here is an example of mounting the servo directly underneath. I have to because it is an open cab so I need to hide the servo somewhat. but the idea is the same for a turret.
