Taigen (Tiger 1 2.4ghz) gun sound problem

Post by Boo »

Hello i need some help,
I was running my Tiger 1 yesterday shooting BB`s and it developed a problem after about 2 mins.
Now when i switch the tank on after the start up it recoils once even without the gun switch on, and it then repeats the gun firing sound constantly.
The tank moves, the turret works but no engine sound when moving, i think this is probably because the gun sound is cutting this out.
Also the machine gun works fine. I am new to RC tanks and would appreciate any help or pointers.

Thanks in advance.

Dean.

If you open the tank up and look at the turret connections there should be a red wire running to the battery negative, if this has come loose it will cause the recoil to play up, hope that helps dude

My bad thought you had an IR tank!

Hi Boo,

Open up your tank and look at your turret bb unit, you will see a red and black wire coming from the rear of your shooting unit, these wires will be connected to two thin strips of wire that you are able to see.

Inspect these and give them a blow as they may be clogged up triggering the circuit to fire.

Thank you for the reply`s and help, thanks for the video link Lord Haw-Haw.

Tank now sorted, it was the two tiny metal plates at the back of the BB unit as in the video.

It was on my mind all day at work, glad to have it sorted, little things like this do bug me!

Thanks again, back to enjoying my tanking. :D
