Rule of thumb I use is 1 x battery rating as max charge current.

So for a 5000mah battery max 5A, 13000mah max 13A chances are your charger won't support more than 5A (10A if a really good one) so your well in the cautious side at that.

You may want to get a battery charger for a real car that may do it.

Normal Lipo charger would take 4 to 6 hours...though the battery looks like a biggie...charging it is really not

Tom, what battery and charger do you use? I'm building my KT now and I'm building it with IR battling in mind and turns out it will be quite heavy because I can only get single link KT tracks in metal, so I wouldn't mind putting a LiPo in it. I'll probably use an IBU2 which has built in LiPo functionality.
