1950 Marine Pershing M26 B-12 at Inchon Part A and B and C

*chuckles* It's not high pressure, my friend. The Great Race is one of my favorite movies from way back when. Chalk the rest up to a really horrifically busy Friday work day. The tank works as is. Good enough for me to finish the clean up and detailing. The trunnion mounts are under constant spring pressure tho' so one day, I could be running B-12 or it could just be sitting and 'SPROING!!!" the main gun will leap out of the turret when my pinned repair gives way. A permanent repair is needed and only a replacement part will do it. Thank you again, Alpha.

Started the evening off with drilling out the spots for one of the Schumo periscope guards where one of the Mato types had come off. I had one left over of my own and painted and mounted it to compare with the other Mato guards. The Schumo won hands down for realism and scale. That started out five hours worth of rebuilding and replacing broken detail and paint touch up with a brush and spray OD and Flat in a cup. I redid the rope storage at the rear and tinged it OD like the Schumo rope that I had previously used on 'Maxene' and 'In The Mood'. Pulling out the Tamiya weathering kits, I redid and amped up the weathering a little. I'm pleased enough with the repairs already done to put the Commander back in charge of his tank. The only things remaining are to mount three more of the Schumo periscope guards on the deck and replace my repaired trunnion mount with a new part. Pictures:

Good as new Painless ...will try to get the turret in the mail next week...yeah I know you only need the loading ramp...but I looked at what was left of the Pershing I have and figured I'll never use any of it

Thanks for the vote of confidence! This was a pretty tough time. I'm feeling now like I was back in the middle of December before this tank was wrecked. I have to say that with a 3 ft drop off a desk onto a hardwood floor that a lot more could have been broken. Thank you, HL, Tamiya, Tank Army Australia, Alpha and all of the others who made B-12 the stout tank that it is to survive that. Three weeks later, my Pershing is rolling again.

Seriously Painless...the turret isn't in the greatest of condition...pretty much all the external details have been salvaged off of it to complete my other two so it's pretty much just the shell

Thank you, Gentlemen! I appreciate your kindness and comments. I learned and relearned some things from this incident. I love my dogs more than things being one and that when you are knocked down six times, get up seven being the other. I'm really pleased by this Pershing and am ready to move forward with this year's Builds.

P.S. I retract my panning of the Mato Periscope Guards. They don't fit the Pershing and look bad on both it and the Shermans for a real reason. If you have a HL Walker Bulldog, look at the single periscope guard on that tank's turret and understanding will dawn as it did for me. I was fiddling around with my Taigen Walker, adding a link to the tracks on each side and seeing what the air gun's issue was ( oval inner barrel has a bb trapped way down the barrel by the breech ) when I noticed the guard on the turret and had one of those lightbulb moments. Mato really should advertise those guards for the tank that they are meant to fit.
