Just stumbled across these pics of my T-34 1/16 Trumpeter which I did for a magazine review when the kit first came out( back in the days when I had time to build things!)

Really nice job!  Fantastic details and weathering.

Thats a very nice T-34 you have there, i would love to have a tank with all the interior like that but they seem to go for crazy prices, but with that level of detail i can understand why they do  >:(

very nice model, a lot better designed than some other country's tanks where the engine comes as an after thought and the cram a really small engine into the tank, looks to me like the Russians designed the tank around the engine.

A Great Model, and very interesting to see how it was all laid out! I know that hatch is at a good slop but that must have been never racking when the rounds come pounding in from the front! :o

The Drivers hatch was basically a huge bullseye to aim for. The decision to mount both the engine and the transmission at the rear pushed the turret too far forward to have a top opening hatch for the driver.
I read recently that the survival rate of Soviet T34 crews was only around 20 to 30% during the 1943 summer offensive :o

Still, it was better than the M3 Stuart - the hull crew hatches on that wouldn't even stop the German 37mm "Door Knocker", never mind anything bigger...
