Caleb, Happy New Year, We love people writing to the Forum and the more interesting it is the better, so the more you write the quicker you will overtake Colonel ALPHA, It certainly does not look like this WO2 will be doing it any time soon. :{ :{ :{ shaun

Don't worry about rank Oddball.. it's fun to get promoted..but the the added tag is cosmetic at best...just be yourself...come in and open chats or contribute ...it's all part of the process...for me..participating awakened the modeller that had been dormant ...the benefit for you is greater ...as many modellers are more than willing to explain to you the little intricacies to building a nice model...it will also give you a better balance in decision making as certain things if done...should be within a measure of awareness (budgeting your build ) ;)

Good Luck with your Quest

I think the rank thing is quite good. I'm a mod on another forum and we used to have a table of top posters on the front page. Trouble was you'd get certain members posting dozens of 2 or 3 word posts for the sake of trying to get to the top of the table so that was a bit silly. Don't see any of that on here and all the posts that I've seen seem genuine. Also.......it's nice to have a lieutenant colonel post on your threads :D

The great thing about this joint is every poster has built and displayed.............asked questions, recieved critiques where needed and for the the right reason and intent, rank is a by product of participation and involvement.

I encourage you to get your build or mod going and take happy-snaps along the way. If for nothing else than to look back on when you are struggling to remember why on earth you put them in there in the first place :haha: :haha:

I like to learn new things...admire good work...and help out if I can

I must be doing something wrong, I have been here since the forum was created in 2008 and I appear to be lagging somewhat behind Alpha. I tend to read more than I post, and tend to only post when I can add something to the thread, so I guess my count will only ever rise slowly. The main thing is enjoying the forum, use it in a way that suits you, and enjoy the hobby as a result. My hobby is modelling tanks, rather than using a forum, and using the forum to share builds, opinions, hints and tips, much like I would if I was stood in a pub chatting to someone, and no one ever got a rank for doing that. :haha: :haha: :haha:
