Hi brizo58 have you tried swapping out the standard motor for one with a black endcap. Seen this mod improve turret rotation speed quite a bit. Not that I can take any credit for this idea as it was first done by Nigel on rctankregiment. Hope this helps

Re: Turret rotation 2A6...
It's an old trick, just swap the turret rotation motor for a faster one. The only thing to consider is 'higher speed = less torque', so a higher speed motor is under more stress when trying to move a heavy turret.
The green caps are quick, did it on a ZTZ that I used to have years ago, which is similar to the Leopard.

Re: Turret rotation 2A6...
Hi brizo58, spoke to Bully last night and he's used a green cap motor (same as wibblywobbly ) but he got his from ebay. This has given him a 365 degree rotation in 13 seconds I know it does not seem that fast but works out at approx 3 seconds for a 45 degree arc. Wish I could help with a black cap motor but they seem to be like rocking horse poop at the moment.
Keep us updated on your progress with the Leo, looking forward to seeing where you go with this build.
Alan
I will check the spares box in the next couple of days to see if I can find a green cap motor that I can let you have.

Hi Alan,
Thanks very much for the reply
. Been onto eBay they have a rotation unit with a green cap motor fitted.£1.50+post. Yea your right about the black cap motor I have two white cap ones in my spares box.The metal wheel set came this morning so fitted them
Just ordered the steel gearboxes they were £19.99 again eBay.So to date the lower hull is almost done just a proportional smoke unit to get none on eBay at the moment
. Top hull bits to get are new storage boxes for turret rear might go for the tamiya ones or make my own ones up from plastic rod and mesh. Will put some pics on later. I still have my tamiya Leo2 sitting on my work table that's all done just paint to finish
+2 Shermans that the wife got me for Xmas.Brian...
