I haven't had much trouble with either the boggie or wheel screws coming loose. What I've done to many of the screws on my rc trucks is replace the ones that screw into plastic with machine screws. Believe it or not, they seem to hold better. As soon as I start having problems my tanks will get the same treatment.,especially where the screw can't be seen.PainlessWolf wrote:Evening, Joe,
I'll tell you what did catch my eye there. The bolts and nuts that hold the road wheels on the bogies! HL's Sherman has been needing those since day one. As soon as they are available, 'Maxene' will be benefiting from a set of those. The HL bogie will require a little drilling to make the shafts go all the way through but it will be well worth the extra effort. I don't know about other tankers but I am constantly re-tightening those screws into plastic on the HL Bogie.

Plumbers teflon on the threads will help keep them from backing out...also loctite makes a thread fixer that you can use for plastic...it's almost like elmers but clearPainlessWolf wrote:Evening, Joe,

Re: Taigen Sherman
Alpha,
Give it a year or so. Taigen will have the recoiling airsoft setup in most of their top sellers by then I would guess? Like many, I hope that they offer the guns separate so older tanks with airsoft can be updated.

...Here for the Dawn...
Re: Taigen Sherman
I agree Painless...reason I'm not jumping on the early gen releases...as sometimes the companies refine them...not sure any company will combine IR with bb...they get handled too much in the shipping cartons...but there's a good chance there will be upgrade kits by the time there are more in circulationPainlessWolf wrote:Alpha,

Well one thing I like about the Taigen is the sprockets ....so knowing the track difference helps...so a complete set is in orderjtracks wrote:This is what I get= Heng Long 1.019" Taigen 1.024". Not enough to worry about.
