Thanks Mr Alpha, but the blue flame has a certain alure (like 'tyres' but different!!).............moths like flames, dont knock em for it

I will admit to being properly stoked with the way these turned out. The small upright tubes were a genuine pain in the ass to cut & file to equal lengths, but it made the fitting much more straightforward in the end I reckon.

The superglue has left a mark as it does, but it would have been worse if not for the timely intervention of daughter with that toluol

Next mission is the rear plate. tow clevis mounts, bars in exhausts etc.

These H/L 'production' tanks are still new, but I punt that once they become more mainstream (as against the Porsche versions) there will be an explosion of luxury add ons in the market to rival that of the Tiger 1.

Still wondering how you stuck your fingers to your face.........but I'm not going to ask ....the fascination with flame dates back to primal man...days of the primordial ooze ...admittedly I like playing with fire ....think we all do...still remember younger days simulating battles setting model tanks on fire ...plastic men on fire.... till I saw the real thing ...electrics good for me now

And yes ...your satisfaction with this build really shows

Sliced the towing clevices apart to recover the mounting profiles. I will file what I can tonight & deal with them once I get back.
I know the very late KT's apparently had no jack block, but cannot seem to find any pics that show just a smooth space or some evidence of the normal fittings these would have (or lack of )

That's a 506 Tiger I think. Good example of the strangeness of these later King Tigers. 18 tooth sprocket and single link tracks but only has the 4 links per side on the turret yet has fuel vents, armoured radiator covers on the back but really old style mesh covers on the front, no jack or block. Shows the factory applied ambush scheme nicely though and that they were painted without the skirts on. Not sure if that is a track rope on the top either, which many of these didn't have.

Back in the world.
Got the tow cable mounts on & 'welded' and the gun cleaning pole clamps. Used the H/L ones sliced out from the plastic pre formed stuff & further cut as required.
Will melt in some tee-bolt material on the rod clamps, but no wing nuts as these were not fitted in the rush to get the thing out the door & into the fight.

This detailing caper is wearing me out.
Used surplus H/L aerial material to fit the exhaust anti grenade bars................... Why ?
Because
Needle nose pliers, several test fits, and "whosyadaddy" they are in.
Secured the now redundant tow clevice mounts and more of the tow cable mounts.

I feel like Im running on a treadmill & just not getting ahead with the thing !

Tomorrow should be a quieter day & I might get to tick of some items from the to-do list.

A beautiful result! A tip if I may? The next time that you are face with installing those bars, drill a hole through the pipe top to bottom then glue in the bar already cut to fit. Following along!
