Newbie

Post by Revs1 »

Hi to all, Time to introduce myself. Just recently got into this addictive hobby and loving it. As the son of a real life tanker I spent most of my childhood around tanks where ever we happened to be posted. Little did I know that tanks would come back into my life in this way. I currently have 3 running and one static tank the runners are a Walker Bulldog, a King Tiger (Porsche) and a Leopard 2A6. One area I am struggling a bit with is the electronics, so if there are any Clark/RC experts out there I would appreciate any insights or help with this. I am based in North Cambridgeshire and would be good to make loacl-ish contacts as well as further afield through the forums.

Cheers

Hi Revs1, welcome to the forum.

Some of the electronics guys should be along shortly, that's a very nice collection you have, try to get some pictures put up in the show off thread so we can see.

Have a good look round and you will find a wealth of info about this very very addictive hobby.

Greetings Rev...welcome to the board....clark seems to be the board of choice....I don't need it yet...so am satisfied with the standard 2.4 gig systems
but this post has me thinking of upgrading...just because of the number of plug ins

Though it looks like there is a need for at least a six channel TX ;)
Enjoy the adventure

Hi welcome to forum,

I certainly don't class myself as an expert on Clark/RC I have 1 Clark's board already, so what do you need to know, I can hopefully answer your queries, if I can't as merlin has said, there are loads of clued up people on here.

Rev's Welcome to the Forum, does your tag indicate a leaning toward the Church? :D Your desire to know more about electronics in general and CLARK boards in particular is the heart of why CLARK should never have appointed TANKZONE as their UK agent, you can be sure that you will get no after sales service from them, compare that with www.immortalhobbies.com where FREAKY DUDE (a member of this Forum ) rules    , totally hands on and will never leave a customer without backup, I hope your problems are soon sorted out.   shaun
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:
