Herman,
I'll add a 'Huzzah!' The plating looks exact.

Painless

I shall raise Painless'es huzzar and offer "oh well ok" seriously this is turning into a true tour de force, I cannot help smiling when i think back to when you joined the Forum and declared you would not get pulled into detail builds with your tanks!!! What went wrong?

I think I am about to upset someone

Re: "PRODUCTION" TURRET KING TIGER
Added note Herman..... an alternate to using any flame at all...

Weller woodburning kit....comes with a bunch of different tips
which would also alleviate the need for a screwdriver
Did I already mention nice job on the shields
If not .....NICE JOB ON THOSE SHIELDS

Thanks Mr Alpha, but the blue flame has a certain alure (like 'tyres' but different!!).............moths like flames, dont knock em for it
I will admit to being properly stoked with the way these turned out. The small upright tubes were a genuine pain in the ass to cut & file to equal lengths, but it made the fitting much more straightforward in the end I reckon.
The superglue has left a mark as it does, but it would have been worse if not for the timely intervention of daughter with that toluol
Thats the second time I have gluedmyshiteup and no doubt not the last......................"Dont drink & glue kiddies"
Next mission is the rear plate. tow clevis mounts, bars in exhausts etc.
These H/L 'production' tanks are still new, but I punt that once they become more mainstream (as against the Porsche versions) there will be an explosion of luxury add ons in the market to rival that of the Tiger 1.
If only I had tank I.D. details of Kurt Knispels final mount in Wostitz '45

"Tanks-Happen" !!
Details are evolutionary mate.................I cant do flasher than Mike Jackson electronics, cant weather like Mig Jiminez, or scratch like you know who's, but as long as there is some level of learning & improvement each build, "that'll do pig"
I made a bit of a C-up by not priming under the plates before fitting

But that is now for god and I to deal with.......................

As a side note I got word that my guys in Germany are sending the bits I need for project 6 over in time for xmas by DHL.

Cant wait.

Thanks for the kudos mate. Im sure that the likes of Guido Henn & Mr Ludwig etc get an idea that these things will become the next Tiger 1 you will be able to buy them no problemJake79 wrote:The anti-aircraft-plates do look good Herman...I could do with a couple of sets....great build so far mate...
Jake..

Hell Im happy to make them, but you can for sure drill the holes & file the pin heads

You can see the super glue malfunction I had on the lower -left above the rear plate joint..............the rest was on my cheek

Re: "PRODUCTION" TURRET KING TIGER
Thank Christ for that
I thought I would have to be filing & cutting the bloody mounting posts again X 2

These are the most structured pics I have on them.
