A bit more progress made, MAKO2 board added, takes away the nasty track recoil and adds some nice benefits for IR battling, tidied up the wiring, closed the gearboxes in with plastic card (and some stiff card liberated from the wife's craft supplies!) added a convoy light, rear reflector and detail to the gun mantlet.

Hi Palepainter/Painless Wolf

Thanks for the comments, the rear light and mounting bracket are from RCTank.de. I have wired it up by splicing into the headlight feed in eight-way cable to the upper hull as I try to have the minimum number of connections to the upper hull. The headlight is also an aftermarket yellow LED, again from RCTank.de, and I found I had to add a small resistor, I think it is around 200 ohms, to the headlight LED, otherwise it took all the power and the convoy light didn't illuminate. I may change the lighting wiring so it goes through a switch so I can turn it off, after all you wouldn't go into battle with your lights on would you?! I haven't done any work on this tank for a little while, I became distracted re-wiring my Torro King Tiger and changing the re-coil unit, but that's another story!

Too many tanks, not enough time!

I know this post is months old. can you give an update? Photos? I'm guessing you did not keep on with the factory paint, I'm curious what does she look like now?

I was green with envy looking at that beautiful jewel of a Panther you have. Your craftsmanship is first rate. I have been drooling over those lovely brass gears -that's the only word I have for em, they really are a thing of beauty- for a long time. But at the price I can't justify it to myself, unfortunately, since there's so many other things and parts you need when you are a real tank-aholic addict...Right now I have 4 and working on #5 (Jagdpanther...)
