It's seriously amazing how far in such a short time this project has come Rob. Consider that the whole upper hull is scratch build and it's even that much more amazing!

Just don't ask me to build anything using photo etch, brass, or scale nuts and bolts....you wouldn't hear from me for months...lolol.

I haven't posted progress for a couple of days, but I have been working on it, and taking pics along the way, so I may split this over two posts.

The tracks were plain black plastic, so primered them, mixed silver and matt black, and gave them the once over. They then looked like new, but are too shiny that way. This was sorted during the final airbrushing when they were given a coat of neutral grey, then grey with a few drops of brown. This took the shine off, and gave them a slightly worn look. When it gets run on a hard surface the cleats will make contact, the outer layer will wear through and the silver should shine through on the outer surface.

The upper hull was given some weathering, using various shades of grey, green, grey/brown, and rust. My didgital camera is rubbish indoors for taking pics like this but its 'almost' as it looks now that I have finished airbrushing. There is a roof panel still to go, but until the tubing arrives, I cant do the exhaust stacks. I also need to paint the roadwheels with rubber paint, but that can wait until the current paint has completely dried.

I impress myself sometimes, considering that most of the parts were made seperately to be fitted together at the end, it all went together with almost military precision, which was a relief as the whole thing would have bee a complete mess of misaligned parts otherwise.

It isn't mobile yet, I need to decide what to power it with.

Thanks Sov, it was made easier as it was the second one I have built, so all I had to was shake the memories out of my grey matter, and get on with it.

Of course, I now have loads of time to watch progress on that mighty Tiger of yours
