can asiatam recoil unit fit in heng long t34/85

hi guys can enyone tell me iff asiatam recoil unit will fit in heng longs t34/85 turret tanker 242

I don't know about the heng long attachment points within the turret, but the Taigen T34/85 I have, is fitted with the Asiatam Recoil unit so in terms of physical size it should fit.

You might need to scratch some brackets or similar to fit it.

thanks ktrob as long as size is ok, then I will sort the attachment brackets out some how .it was mostly the size I was thinking about ,but as long as there is space for it to fit that's ok ! tanker 242.

hi kTRob found a video showing asiatam unit fitted in to t-34/85 it was fitted using the bracket for fitting the unit in the tiger1 ,& was fitted into the bottom half of the turret, where did you fit yours to top or bottom half of turret ? ,tanker 242.

Hi Tanker242, mine is a Taigen metal t34 so might be different attachment points to your Heng Long, this is how Taigen fitted it, into the top of the turret:

As you can see, lots of room for the recoil, flash etc.

That looks like a simpler install for your Heng Long.

You might have to make your own mounts up, I fitted the asiatam recoil in a Panther G and had to make a platform for the unit to sit on.

Can you post some pics of inside your turret?

thanks for the photos KT, I think mine is the same as on the video ,so will have to use the bracket from the tiger 1 ,&fit it into the bottom of the turret,as I need to see iff I can connect the wires from the unit to the new way HL have done the wireing going straight to the hull top from the bb unit via a white plug next to the 8 pin plug , sorry haven't got the hang of posting pics yet but will when I can ,& thanks again for your help, tanker 242

HI" 242''the asatiam unit size wise will fit all HL" TAIGEN " TORRO " tanks just takes a lot of work fabricating a mounting plat a getting the position correct the recoil is noproblem.... its the elevation that is difficult the thing has to fit exact so it can move up fully and down its a lot of work for the time and money '' i think the standard "HL"recoil unit does the job with far les hassle ,, plus cheaper and just as affective , regards 'Ray
