Panther Rebuild

Post by YHR »

I finally got around to doing the turret mods on my Heng Long Panther.  It ended up with a new coat of paint as well.

First picture is the before picture of a Modified Heng Long Panther without turret mods

Oh the turret was moved back where it belongs as well

Nice build. Cammo is excellent, schurzen hangers look spot on.

Hi YHR,

That a really nice panther. Atached you will find some pics I took in the Overloon Museum.
Maybe you find a detail which you can use for your tank.

Kind regards from Germany

This tank is equipped for IR battling.  The tube houses the IR LED.

I assume you're using a Tamiya system from the tube diameter?
I use a 20mm x ~3mm diameter PVC tube for my DBC set up - what do you use for you tanks?
Thanks,
Mart

I am a big fan of Darkith's DBC.  That is what is in this tank.  The emitter is a larger diameter though, more in line with the Tamiya.

Did some more weatheirng and other fine tuning.  Made the tool handles out of wood, and some more mesh screens on back deck.  Touched up numbers on turret.
