1950 Marine Pershing M26 B-12 at Inchon Part A and B and C

I don't know where you got those two figures from Painless, but it wasn't me. I did send you the TC for "Maxene" http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-16-scale-WWII ... 1451787983 but not the other two that came with the FOV M4A3. They are nice figures, (and already come painted, for those of us who lack your skills), but they're pretty costly to buy them separately. Taigen is supposed to be bringing out some new pre-painted 1/16 figures, and I think that will help a lot of builders populate their tanks. -Mike

The tank Commander is the original figure from HL that came with this Pershing and was just cleaned up and a little detail added for the redo. I was sure that those tank riders came from you and if not. I'm at a loss. The other one is still perched on 'Maxene' along with his disgruntled Marine, BAR using, friend who appears to be a 1/18 Ultimate Soldier model. ;o) So, after all the figure speak, how did you like the Pershing? ;o)

P.S. Here are the figures as they sit with 'Maxene' The guy in the Commander's hatch is Crazy Joe. The tank's real Commander is standing down by the tracks.

Painless, the commander by the track is one of the 3 painted figure that comes with the FOV metal Sherman and you can get them separately for $20 each I think. The two tank rider I am pretty sure is a 1/18 set as they have post-able hands and legs. You can get them in Americans or Germans. Maybe these ones ?

I thought the same as you and just searched Ebay for those guys. They are almost as nice as the F.O.V. Commander Mike did send over but have poseable arms and legs. They are bigger than 1/18th scale as the fellow with the BAR that came with them is a 1/18 Ultimate Soldier model. The joints are much nicer than his as well. They are designed to be tank riders. I'll keep looking. ;o)

Painless, I'm sorry that I didn't get to the point of commenting on the tank itself. You have done a superlative job, as you typically do! My Father was a Marine in Korea. I asked him once about his recollections of tank warfare there. He said that they (grunts) used to hate having tanks come up to support whatever offensive/defensive operation they were doing at the time, because the tanks would get emplaced behind them, and then act as artillery and fire off a bunch of rounds at the bad guys. And then, they'd leave before the other side started returning fire at whoever had been shooting at them, and the grunts just had to keep their heads down and endure it. It made sense to hear that aspect of it; although I had never considered it before.

Thank you for giving it a look-see! B-12 is a well documented tank and went through several phases of usage and 'looks' in the conflict. It 'might' have had a spare wheel up on a fender at some point and most assuredly carried ammo cans and spare rations so I felt pretty safe there. ;o)

old chap your attention to detail old boy is above and beyond you have made one of the ugliest tanks ever [in my opinion so its not a reason to wreck the thread gets one drift chaps ] into something .... I like it ,and as its near the festive season ,you could find kindness and send to me ,a poor pauper penniless ,a yard short of the work house, children taken into care [do I need to carry on? yes ] the wife selling nylons from a suitcase ,her sisters out on the streets and while you are at it send the shermans .....wot wot .......
