Just a quick intro from me. Ive been thinking for a good while now of a project to work on. In the past I have been involved with model engineering but now no longer have the facilities to continue this. Since my early years (a long way back now!!!!) ive really enjoyed building all sorts of plastic scale models. When I was an apprentice I build a Tamiya RC 4x4 some type of American military jeep but which one escapes me now.
I am now very much looking forward to a large model, one that I can assemble on my kitchen table but also want scale and realism too with a model hence the full option type kits.
I have decided on a Tamiya full option King Tiger. Ive seen Youtube videos of smoke emitting from exhaust pipes which looks fantastic, so this realism very much appeals to me. I hope that I have made the right choice with this as my first model. No doubt I will be asking question after question regarding my build on this model so please be patient with me if 'that same old question' arrives on the site.
Thank you guys by the way my name is Alan

Welcome Alan,
An excellent first choice for a kit build, they don't come any better than a Tamiya, i don't own one myself but the ones I have seen and read about are superb, there are plenty of people on this forum will vouch for that, enjoy your build looking forward to build log for our enjoyment, only kidding.

Re: Hello All
Hi Awins.
To the forum.
There are some fantastic models from most of the manufactures.
That’s not the problem it’s who you trust when it comes to parting with your hard earned cash.
First take time to look in the Venders section.
Recommended Trusted Traders with the Good Guys willing to offer help and advice.
But with the blacklisted rip off section. Bad Guys just waiting to get your cash.
Look through the build sections to see what others have done, some amazing models for you to view before you totally commit the wallet into frontline action.
Then choose which model and make you want.
Don’t rush to get started, It’s a very addictive hobby in no time you will have a Tank squadron! no money just a lot of enjoyable toys. OOOPS (Miniature representations of the real thing)
