Tank photo's i've aged

Post by tiger205 »

hi guys
i thought you might like to see what ive been up on the PC, ive aged several of my pictures, just to see what can be done, ive used various programs to do it, and i'm reasonably happy with the results, though i think they could do with a bit more work to make them realistic, once i know my way round the programs i'm using i should be able to make them even better. let me know what you think, and any tips you may have i would be gratefull

The first 3 are too clear (sharp?), the next 2 are too speckled/fuzzy. I definitly think you're on to something with the brown toned pics, tho!

Tony, some of those could pass for real photos mate. Good work. I really like the top picture and as Ex Pat said, if it was just a little less clear it'd be spot on. Great pic though anyway  :) :)

The last two look just right. The excessively fuzzy ones could pass for a blow-up from an newspaper or sonmething like that, but I prefer teh last two. Lookingforward to seeing more of your work.

hi ice,
the trouble with sepia tones is that they wernt really seen on ww2 photos, but they do look good, ive also been playing with ageing video clips, i will post what ive done, when i can find where i put it

Love the way they look. how did you do it. The holes or black spots, the lines, and the movement?

hi oztruck
i done the video clips using "windows movie maker" , its on our PC, i think its on most pc's with xp, the program has 3 levels of ageing, i used the 2nd, the 3rd would be perfect for ww1 tanks. it also has loads of other effects, give it a try
