Looks great, couple of questions:

Is that the standard Shumo MG34 and mount? Is the armoured barrel from Aber?
What putty are you using?

They've sold out of those bags again. I'm destined to never be able to buy one :(

I've been using the 'Teracotta" Milliput but I'm running low. I bought some of the "Superfine" White Miliput that I'll give a try next time I need some. I guess the superfine is all white so it's hard to tell when it's mixed properly.

You nailed it billpe, those are indeed the parts. I modified the mount's gurtsack clip and filed down the "bolt" on the left side of the hinge and replaced it with a spare brass bolt/nut I had broken earlier and saved just because that area on the schumo kit was poorly molded. the rest of the kit is amazing quality and for some reason HARD AS NAILS! Normally white metal is much softer to work with but the schumo gun and mount are super hard. I needed power tools to cut an drill it, the regular pin vice didn't make a dent.

I need to finish some welds on the cupola and a few tiny details and cut that ammo belt shorter to fit inside the bag (unless you guys think the extra length looks good the way it is?).

The problem with getting into details is the work I've done earlier that I thought was nice/acceptable looks like crap to me as my skills improve. Now I want to rip out all those low quality periscopes I made and do a proper job, perhaps even put the IR sensors in the scopes. It bugs me a bit too that the scope view port dimensions are way off a realistic size. See Tanksforthememory's Normandy Tiger cupola for this detail. Something I will live with I think.

I believe schumo cast using nickel silver, part of the reason they're costly. But detail is better and they're stronger.

I have the the same gun on my King Tiger but never considered adding the Aber barrel. I might have to do this on my next King Tiger. But I don't have the ammo bag, which is what I'm really after!

Let us know how the milliput teracotta compares to fine. I've used fine but not the teracotta. I find the fine to be a little but difficult to work with compared to the rougher milliputs. The one you've used looks almost slightly plasticised which looks great on weld lines.

Oh lord, please tell me I did this correctly. Not doing any more just in case... pending community approval here. :haha: (not glued in place)

I know for certain these are correctly positioned and spaced. I used David's measurements to make absolutely sure and used a caliper to measure. They are using the last Tiger turret version's spacing. Honestly it's the best looking this way, forsaking actual historic accuracy. :shh:

What the heck! This isn't a Tiger part. I wonder what it is... :haha:

Well Zuul... if you used just a tad bit of imagination.... that opaque thing could be made into a Tiger part....that way you wouldn't have to worry if you got the track storage mounted correctly :shh: ................................ ;) ............... :haha:
