Good Morning,
The Aber set is definitely a Beauty. I have heard great things about the Voyager set as well, i.e., "easier by far to use". Either one will require working eyes as you noted. ;o)

Just ran into it on Ebay...had to leave some feedbacks lol.... pretty cool for the Hardcore builder... not into that small detail stuff myself...but if anyone needs it or even just parts of it...at least all the sets are there....you have to scroll through the pictures Painless...they put quite a few... the detail is very impressive... almost like looking at R89's Metal Tiger build

Does Voyager have a complete package like that?.... it's the first time I've seen and PE in a complete package...kind of cool in a way..and really convenient if you are interested in going that route.....piece mealing those PE stuff can be pretty tedious...and eye straining as you have to look at each panel of brass to see if it has what you need

The Voyager sets are pretty much a copy of the basic Aber separate sets. Although I think the Voyager set includes all the fenders whereas the Aber one is separate. Tom is probably the resident expert on these. I found them a little to fragile and far to small for my fat fingers to make all the parts and ended up using real bolts for the fenders.

Voyager does have a complete set like the Aber. I have not used it nor the Aber as the level of detail that satisfies my needs can be achieved with Schumo\Tank Modelbau or An-Bri-RC or scratch built. I definitely remember that the Voyager set was highly touted when it came out in 1/16 scale as easier to use than the Aber but like everything related to virtually everything, people will have their own opinions on it. Billpe or Tom would know what extra parts that the Aber contains. I am interested in which since my next build will be that Taigen Tiger 1 kit and I want to do a very good job on it.

I just posted it to post it...I really have no interest in going that far ...It sure is cool...but doesn't suit my need... I build for fun...detailing to that extent might be fun for some...but I just can't be bothered with it... I felt Lucky when my L70 took a header..it's probably one of the most detail oriented builds I've done...and could be the reason I'm stalled on it... it wasn't as much fun as I had with my Shermans..I'm just glad I made it durable enough for that two foot drop onto a hardwood floor...nothing broke off..few scratch built parts got bent..exhausts and shield came off..but all in all everything stayed intact...I don't think these kits would survive that

But hey...I hope others like Scalawag and Tom do chime in ...because others who do want to detail their tanks can benefit
After all... just because I don't find value in PE...doesn't mean others should follow

Alpha,

It looks amazing,i would be so worried about breaking it of while off roading or in a tank battle, it would all have to be bolted down not super glued into position for me anyway. I'm way to clumsy, I would not it off myself.

The only thing stopping me from doing something like this is price. I know its a great deal but I've already spent close to $600 on my Tiger build not sure I want to push it into the $800+ range. Maybe this winter who knows?

My King Tiger is already past the $900 mark and weighs almost 25 pounds and I have more metal parts on the way! I'm thinking all said and done it'll be $1000 and 26 to 28 pounds. But DAMN it looks FANTASTIC! Just no one tell my wife!
