Most people use Photo bucket and just post the link. I use the Full Editor. When you open a new post just click on Full Editor button and it will give you an option to upload pictures. The only catch is it has to be less than 350kb. So I usually use the Paint app to reduce the size if need be.

Drag and drop them on imgur.com

Honestly, photobucket is trash. They delete your photos and break links constantly. There's nothing worse than looking for an award winning tank build only to find photobucket nuked the pictures. Imgur never deletes photos and there is no file size or format limits and you don't even need an account to host photos. Sorry, I'm very anti photobucket. I can't stand bad host sites.

I'll second the above, I've had nothing but trouble with them deleting pics ive uploaded more times than I can count.

Good heads up about the alternate site to use thanks.

Thought you had this picture stuff in the bag Chief...you've been posting some excellent How To's ...but yeah... I used to use photobucket...they screwed the pooch on me.. been following Zuul's advice ever since...IMGUR is great...none of the BS that Photobucket has ...and it's much easier to bulk load...takes way less time as well ;)

Good Luck

One issue with using PB is that if you move any pics on there then the link is no longer pointing to the correct location, so the target where you have placed the link gets a blank space.

Uploading to a forum is fairly easy as long as:

The pics are 640 x 480 (its a handy default, though depending on the forum other sizes will work).
The pics are on your pc, tablet or phone.

I take mine in 640 x 480 on my camera so that they are a direct upload, The Kindle tablet that I also use has a larger format and that also works on here.

All that you need to do is click on 'Upload attachment' which is below the text box.
Browse to the pic location on your pc.
Double click the pic.
The window will close and you will see your pic filename below the text box.
Click on Upload file.
Job done.

You can add more pics by selecting Upload Attachment again.

If you want to add a pic from somewhere else on the web:

Right click on the pic.
Select Copy Location.
Create your message on here.
Select the IMG button above the text box.
An opening and closing HTML bit of code will appear eg
Click between the two middle ]"Here"[ brackets.
Select CTRL+V to paste the link.
Job done.

If you want to embed a You Tube video.

Get the video on screen using You Tube.
At the top of the screen you will see the web address.
eg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gPa67S1mHmk
Highlight the bit after "v=", in this case "gPa67S1mHmk"
Copy it.
Create your forum message.
Click on the YouTube button above the text box.
You will see
Click in between ]"Here"[ the brackets
Select CTRL+V to paste the You Tube id.
Job done.

You can always click on Preview to see if your message looks ok, before you post, and edit it again if you want to.
Hope this helps anyone having problems. :P
