Taigen, merit hybrid mid/late tiger

Post by tomhugill »

Hey folks, she's finally done, the build threads here:

viewtopic.php?f=23&t=13476

In case you don't fancy wading through pages of my yabbering here's a brief background:

The tank modelled is a mid tiger but one from a batch which used the steel wheels (making my life easier!). The basis for this model is the taigen full metal late tiger. Onto this I grafted the upper hull from a merit (aka wsn, hobby boss etc) mid tiger. I've used the voyager photo etch set and some other scratch built features. Anyway hope you enjoy.

Tom,
I'm completely pleased. Beautiful match up of the Taigen and WSN hulls. I followed this build and have to say that the paint and weathering are spot on as perfect as I've seen. What's the weight on this Grrl?
regards,
Painless

Amazing work Tom. I haven't been following the build but the end result is great ! May I ask how you did the zim ? Not mean to offend but it looks like Atek pre-fab. Love the details.

Hi Tom

A fine looking Tiger, I've owned a full metal Taigen Tiger and it weighed 6.5 kg, I weighed it , so how can yours weigh 9kg.....

My scales could be a bit wonkey!!

Edit seems they were, tiger weighs in at a slightly disappointing 6.6 Kg (with batteries and improved speaker), the full metal elefant is just under 10kg for reference.
