Also if anything like this exists in the U.S. that may save me on cost due to the high conversion rate and shipping would really HURT on it from Germany. Thanks guys.
Not a tank but still would like info.

Not a tank but still would like info.
Ok so I want to build an R/C truck or halftrack to go along with my tanks but I can't seem to find a halftrack that doesn't require the selling of half of my gentlemans bits, as Jeremy Clarkson would say. I found this German 3 ton 4x4 truck kit from rctank.de and wondered if you guys knew anything about it? http://www.rctank.de/German-army-3-ton- ... kit-1-16_1 Like can it be made into an R/C truck? If so how much would I need? I have SEVERAL Radio Shack 1/28th scale R/C cars I can strip for their receiver and the transmitter is standard pistol grip style that has both left and right proportional steering and forward and reverse proprtional speed control so I figure that should work just fine. I'm sure I could do this but I'd like more information if possible.

To be honest this shouldn't be too much of a difficult task to make into an RC model.
There looks to be ample space on the chassis and cab to mount the relevant gear.
Looks to be a fun project, keep us posted if you go ahead.

Chris, who posts in other builds often, has some Armored Car kits for sure. Very cool stuff.

Hopefully he'll chime in as I really like the one half track kit he has but I'm very unsure on his pricing. Maybe something gets lost in translation? Either that or I'm just an idiot.SovereignZuul wrote:Chris, who posts in other builds often, has some Armored Car kits for sure. Very cool stuff.

I bought my Torro half track from a guy on Ebay. He goes buy the name of the commander. Search 1:16 half track. If you have trouble finding him let me know and I will look further.
PS Here is his web site info rctankcommand.com

Was looking for a German truck of half track but seeing a video of the U.S. half track from Torro it looks pretty cool. I just can't find where to buy the thing or even get a price! Go thru the Torro site and it shows the half track but when you click on it your taken to a page with all of their tanks and no half track? How much did you pay for it?jtracks wrote:I bought my Torro half track from a guy on Ebay. He goes buy the name of the commander. Search 1:16 half track. It was $250.00 US. Again, check out his web site. rctankcommand.com The Torro half track has a 27MHZ radio and the radio range is not the best.
