DOA acrylics

Post by billpe »

Anyone used them or had experience of them?

I'm feeling like I should try something new for my KT. They get good reviews, water based and spray well apparently.

Yes water based, spray quite well. A word of caution though, each manufacturer thins and sprays differently and in fact you can have colors require different thinning methods and may require different pressures for that perfect coating. Experiment and you will see how easy they are to use.

Yes I have, the color is good and they spray nice. I settled on tamiya for my base colors though just because it is so easy for me to get. I pick it up in bulk at my one of my wholesalers.

Thanks. It wasn't clear by your first reply :). It's more of something different. I've tried most of the acrylics out there and use Tamiya religiously because they spray so well but trying something different can't hurt.
