kvi to kv2 electrics.

Post by wadsworthj »

Hi Peeps.
Help Badly needed, I have a heng long kv1, and a kv2 torro turret. and no instructions on the electrical connections
and any kit bashing needed to get the tank base to talk to the turret.
I am using taigen 2.4 tx/rx.
any diagrams or builds on bng etc would ease my torment.
I would love to see this up and running, before I pass away !!!!!! :S
Cheers Wads.
P.S. I am not very electrically minded, but can follow diagrams/instructions.

Hi Alpha.
Still my guardian angel I see, thanks for that, I have solved most of it but still have a three wired link from the
turret, to goodness knows where, I have no wish to burn it out at this stage, I have turret l @ r, and front light works ok but no gun action at all,
the trouble is that I am attempting to match, a heng long kv1 base using a taigen tx/ rx set to a torro kv2 turret/gun.
but I am slowly getting there.
Cheers
Wads.

Oh yeah Wads...Definitely contact Painless... though his was a tad different ...His base was a Taigen...but you don't want to just mess with the electricals blindly... you might also try contacting Michael C for some advice on Hook ups :D if Painless is unsure

I'm no guardian angel Wads :{ ...I'm just a board member who tries his best to help out ;)

Good Morning,
The Taigen RX is different than the HL RX in this respect as the Taigen plug-ins are in different locations on the board than the HL. There are diagrams of the various boards and what goes where but since you are using the Taigen RX , look at this: viewtopic.php?f=81&t=12580 It has the instruction sheet and diagram for the TAIGEN as to what goes where. ;o) (There is also my thread that Alpha mentioned but I understand that photos don't always tell the whole story.)
regards,
Painless

Hi Painless.
Thanks or the info, t
The only problem I have at the moment is that from the torro turret I have a spare three pin plug hanging around and nowhere to put it, although there will be many who could tell me !!!
I have all track motion, blinking headlight, and turret side ways motion l @ R.
but no elevation of gun, no firing,
Although this is enough for now, I feel that it could be better.
Cheers Wads.
