But that's not the way you came in Tom... you came in directly telling me the capacity of the compressor..which is moot..because line pressure is different from nozzle pressure tankless compressors only put out so much...it can "build" but not maintain...it will hit a point of level air flow ..and that's it....I use suction feed guns...so my pressure demands are a tad higher...reason I like piston compressors....as they maintain a higher air flow to the nozzle...and I don't have to worry so much about my paint mix....with my Passche H external mix...I can shoot undiluted paint...so perfect for clear coats...(no flash)...as diluting them has curing problems...something you simply cannot do with low pressure gravity fed guns .... with my dual actions like my VL and Badger...I can get super thin lines from 1/16 to a 1/4 of an inchtomhugill wrote:Hi Alpha, I'm just trying to help stu, we both have the same setup and I thought it might be useful info. FYI most modellers trying to get a high degree of precision and detail use high dilution and lower pressure.
Gravity feeds are a different animal....the Paint mix is critically important to get the proper affect
Thing is...it's all comes down to the shooter...a heavy finger can get bad results.... know your gun...find the finite point and widest point...then go from there
