Cheers Mr Zuul, youre right, the best cure for apathy sometimes is progress !
I got some product on the stowage frame to be formed into weld material, and hand formed the frame for the canvas cover over the vacant turret penetration.
Might try aircraft skin material and dope to toughen it up. Or, good ole paper with PVA glue sprayed on watered down.
Ideally, some of that you-beut lead sheet that Mr hugill used, but for the life of me I cant seem to get any round here.......
although I admit to not trying the fabled dolls house shop as yet :haha: :haha: Im sure they would have it eh ;)

your last link...................does NOT ship to Australia !! :/
Im sure on this massive burnt island the stuff is available, but trying to secure it is the mission.
Everywhere I try has the roof repair stuff, easy 1/8" thick.

Herman,
Good Morning. Have you considered cheesecloth and a can of spray on adhesive like the sort you would use on a headliner on an automobile? You cut and shape the cheesecloth like you want it then spray it with the adhesive to stiffen it and make it keep it's shape. Let it cure overnight then prime and paint as usual to any shade. Has the benefit of being a cloth with a weave and texture like scale canvas.
regards,
Painless

If you can get hold of a can of NESCAFE 500 Gramme coffee granules, take off the plastic lid and underneath is a thick foil cover that is used to keep this undrinkable filth airtight, it is brilliantly malleable and with the deft use of a small hammer can be as smooth or rough as you want, if you can pursued someone to drink this stuff the bottom of the can has a very usable tin base which has many uses in this hobby, HOBBY??? :haha: shaun
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

That works too... but the problem with foil is it doesn't leave soft smooth lumps...it actually retains edges very well.. I use it for other details ;)
