I recognised the NSX, I had one in Forza that looked almost the same! Once those road wheels are on, you may want to beef up the plastic mounts for the gear boxes as they can sheer under load. The 3:1 black steal gears are also worth looking into.

thanks for the heads up , are the stock metal suspension reinforcing plates on the 2014 tiger 1 prone to failing ? ,
my tiger came with the all metal gearbox which has 5 stage reduction , as far as i can work out from a quick look should be around 4:1 and fitted with black end bell 380 motors , at minimum throttle it runs very slow but i want slower , i have seen a 5:1 reduction steel gear box with 3 pinion set from Waltersons , as i dont care about high speed , i would like to get as much torque at low revs as possible , all the searches i have done seem to turn up with users putting faster motors in them , hence my thoughts on using 380 size crawler motors which are low revving high torque items , i will have to add reinforcing flanges to the track drive sprocket axles (although i may go for a metal hull instead ) .
my ideal set up would be to dump the rx18 and fit two speed controllers feeding the slowest crawler motors i can find, with a 10 channel 2.4 ghz system with an after market sound generator , if i can find one in stock for the tiger 1 ! , however thats all for the future , at the moment i need to get to my LHS for some paint to get started on it , i cant even make up my mind which scheme to go for and what uniform to do the tank commander in :haha:
thanks again folks , sure is a nice forum you have here

The suspension reinforcements are fine, you might find that over time the springs begin to sag but they take a few minutes to replace. If you're looking for other speed controllers and sound boards there are many options for RC tanks available. Most of them are configurable so you can make it sound/behave like any tank you want. Look up IBU, Elmod, Clark and there are a bunch of others.
