So on impulse, I bought em...everybody else asks much more money for these tracks-some vendors want twice as much. The slow boat from China will give me time, and motivation to add the metal gearboxes i've had ready but been putting off.
Here's the KT refurbed, I finally have the paint how i want it. I'd like to thank everyone who responded to my sometimes overly persistent posts, Alpha, Wolf, everyone was quite helpful and positive with your feedback, it really helped and gave me inspiration and ideas to get this tank right, thank you one and all!

I have posted before about issues with making the metal tracks work on my other tank, my Tiger1, which they do, finally. But these tracks are bigger, heavier, and longer, so this is to me, certainly going to require more beefing up of the hull and gearbox mounts. I need to add some nuts and long bolts through the hull to hold the gearboxes in. With metal reinforcement underside the hull or at least big washers underneath. I' don't really think that the plastic hull mounts for the gearbox screws, as is, are going to be capable of handling the metal tracks for long before pulling loose.
I have made a pretty sturdy rear axle setup, three joined piece of threaded rod with nylon insert nuts behind the wheels inboard and bearings in the metal idler wheels, So I will try the setup I have already on the metal tracks and see how everything works. They will look magnificent on my newly refurbed KT.
If i have any difficulties with throwing tracks or the like-I'm getting a HENNTEC kit straight away this time. No more half measures, like i did with the tiger. Half baked "solutions" seldom work for long, and you just wind up spending as much or more anyway.
