CrustyOldGit from the North West of England

Post by CrustyOldGit »

Hi,

Thought I had better say hello, I've been sat 'on the side' for a few months and have now got a HengLong Sherman (very standard, metal tracks, some (non-authentic :))paint work). It would be good to know of others in the North West, I met a couple of guys at Westhaughton about a year ago who had about 10 tanks between them, and I see from the forums that some chaps met up back in 2012, but it looks like that has fizzled out :(

Regards

COG,Welcome, I always thought that one mellowed as one aged? As you see I know nothing, unlike most of the rest of the members of the Forum who with great knowledge and experience will answer all your questions, enjoy this place, we do. shaun

Hi crusty our club started meeting in 2012 and we have been meeting every month ever since!
We started off as the Northern Battalion and we changed the clubs name last year to Manchester Armoured Division.
Our meets are held once a month at our clubs indoor building in Hyde Manchester we meet up every third Sunday of the month .
Would be great to see you at one of our meets!
There is a small fee of £5 that everyone pays that is for the hire of the building for the day,
At next months meet we have Forgebeer Tanks attending !
So if you fancy some tanking fun come on over

Next meet is October 19th
Doors open at 10.00am till 5pm

Here's our address - Kinivton street Hyde Manchester SK14 2PU

Above is a picture of last months meet were we had 19 members attend .
Sorry for the double picture my iPad is a pain.
We are now an official RC tank club. we have liability insurance
Club president and treasurer committee members club bank account.everything you would expect from an organised RC club.
All the founding members are still with the club when it was first formed back in 2012 and the club is growing bigger every year!
Hope to see you at one of our meets or one of the public shows
Best regards Gary.
