So they are the steel geared stock ratio transmissions with the 58mm axles correct Freaky? If so I'll take a set! Please PM me with what ever info you need so we can make this happen.

Also its looking like Imex may have dropped the ball again. Kara promised my transmissions would ship out today and she would email me the call tag for these incorrect gearboxes and give me the tracking info. Well guess what didn't happen? So not cool! I'll try to call them tomorrow but I'd be willing to bet my Tiger they're not open on Saturday's so I'm stuck waiting till Monday to find out whats going on. I think at this point if the parts didn't ship today I'm gonna tell her to just refund me my money cause this is just too many screw ups to even try to correct.

I'll get the ones from Freaky instead and be happy with them. Honestly I don't notice a difference between my Tiger which has the 4.1 steel geared transmissions and the stock King Tigers top speed and they both can tackle an incline till they just spin tracks. And those are some STEEP inclines!

In general Jack...once you go to Steel gearboxes ratio doesn't matter much.... what you might go for in the future are torque motors instead :D

Roger that. As soon as I hear back from Freaky as to how I can pay him I will. Regardless of what Imex sends me or if they return my money I'm gonna get the ones from Freaky. I also saw QUITE a few things on his site I MUST HAVE! Metal hatches, guns for my commanders, tank crews, paint, decals..... I think I'm gonna get in TROUBLE now that I know his site exists!

That deal with Imex didn't seem right to me... what should have been said was...for you to keep them... and either sell you the steel ones at a discounted price ...or free just because of the trouble they caused you.... but that's me ...and I've never dealt with IMEX.... I'm also not sure I will... as I'm really getting turned off by the Taigen product ...especially if your white metal gears stripped out... knock on wood...I've never had that happen with my Heng Long Boxes

As an added note...I do have a set of white metal Taigens in my L70....They are kind of old models...but I did notice the castings are worse than the Heng longs

They don't sell parts for the tanks just the whole tank. I'm not gonna try the warranty route with them because I'm the one who took it thru a stream and then into sand while it was dripping wet and thats what made the sand stick to it and blow out the transmission.

:haha: You can try... but usually the terrain that the tank is "supposed" to be run on is clearly written out in the instruction booklet... I know I usually ignore it and know the repercussions should the tank fail when running through my torture test courses ...so good luck going that route ...wet sand would definitely be a no no.. so you should give some thought to the explanation ;)

Good Luck with the repair

Yeah I'm not going that route man, too underhanded. I'd have to lie and I'm not going to do that just because of what I did.

With you on that Jack...but you wouldn't believe that there are people out there that try... I'm not like that either.... I much rather deal with others on the UP and UP...if others want to be dishonest... that's on them...and it will come back to them later on

Good Luck on finding those gears
