I have to ask, when you guys go to SO much time and trouble to detail these R/C tanks to this level do you ever take them outside and still run them or are they shelf display models only at this point? I can't imagine these fine scale details could hold up if you took them out and ran them, hell I have problems with just the tanks themselves I couldn't imagine this type of stuff surviving at all!
:haha: :haha: That thought runs through my mind as well... basically boiling down to the "Point of Reason" of a build... as at times it does seem things can go too far..also reason I don't have BUCKETS hanging off the rear of my tanks :haha: ;) :haha:

All my tanks go outside and some even battle. When I build the photo etch I solder and try and bolt through the hull where possible to improve the durability . If they are to sit on a shelf I wouldn't bother with RC!
I agree with that.... someone told me once... that my tanks really didn't have to run... I kind of shrugged and said........ mine "have" to :D

Yep both of my Tigers have the PE work done on them. :D
You have to be Honest Scalawag...when that Tiger rolled... did your heart stop for a moment :O

Yep it did :D but then I looked at it and thought "actually thats not to bad" and one evening of work and you would not know it had happened. :thumb up:

What can I say I like the detail and I like to drive and battle them too
More Power to you Scalawag  ...details really depend on the builder... once you do it enough..you know how to make them so they last...it's all about taking that little extra measure.... ;)

Excellent work as always. The MGs look perfect and realistic as can be. I'll definitely follow this thread on my upcoming Tiger 1 build.

Alpha, I haven't lost a bucket (yet) *chuckles*
You're lucky Painless... I think it depends on the driver..... I'm a bad bad driver :haha: I've had all kinds of stuff work loose... so probably a BUCKET would have a short life on one of my tanks :D
