The latest Elmod does everything - it's a complete replacement for the esc and sound. There are two versions with various levels of customisation.
The Elmod site details all the functions in great detail.

Do you have to send your tank in for the mod? Seen some videos before... and most of them sounded like the tanks were sent inbillpe wrote:The latest Elmod does everything - it's a complete replacement for the esc and sound. There are two versions with various levels of customisation.

No, you buy it from either Elmod or a supplier. You buy the board and it comes with cables. Its just a direct replacement for a Tamiya DMD/MFU, RX18 or any other board used for ESC and sound. Its fully compatible with both Tamiya and HL stock parts, Lipos etc.

I would say if you're going to use all its features then its worth it, if not, then I'd question the investment as Its expensive compared to other systems but its allot more dynamic.

The beauty of that system is you can take it out of one and put in another with relative ease. I read about guys who have 1 or 2 elmod systems that they move between tanks they're running.

Something to think about Bill.... It's kind of hard... mostly because my favorite tanks don't have much room in them...so switching becomes problematicbillpe wrote:The beauty of that system is you can take it out of one and put in another with relative ease. Another option worth considering is the DBC/Bennedini combo that YHR sells: http://battlearmorrc.weebly.com/products-page.htmlALPHA wrote: Something to think about Bill.... It's kind of hard... mostly because my favorite tanks don't have much room in them...so switching becomes problematic

It connects up to an RX-18 and can be very easily transferred between tanks. It's also less expensive than El Mod and has arguably the best sounds on the market.
Re: El Mod Superspin Configuration
Thanks Bman.... it means something since this is your thread regarding the Elmod ...so yes it is something to be considered... If possible...can you straighten out something about this product... what it said ...along with you ...it's supposed to hook to the RX18.... but on the site it goes on to say it still needs the Tamiya TBU in as well....so for me that would mean fitting two more things in my tanks.. and Tamiya stuff isn't that smallB_Man wrote:Another option worth considering is the DBC/Bennedini combo that YHR sells: http://battlearmorrc.weebly.com/products-page.htmlALPHA wrote: Something to think about Bill.... The Tamiya TBU is only for IR battling and even then it's external to the tank so shouldn't cause any space issues.
