Alpha, yes, it came with the small board up front. I found some pics and it looks like the MG wires in there. The three pin plug from the main gun goes there as well as the eight pin to the MFU. I will need a wiring harness to get the eight pin cable and a new pinned battery hook up but they are available and not very pricey. All is good. ;o) When your barrel comes in, it should work with either mantlet, shimmed or not. I'm looking forward to seeing it on the tank and dropping the fat, stubby one it has worn all this time.

Good you know where the wires go.... cause I have no idea :haha: ..You should see the wires in my L70...it would drive you crazy ..lucky for you...it just affects me ;)
The Pershing barrel might be a tough pull... it might just look like a straw :shh: ...But I will be jumping on that soon

Alpha,
Thank you in advance. ;o) You might look at your pink Pershing and note how the barrel of the 90mm is thicker at the mantlet then does a slight taper down and remains the same diameter from there until it reaches the muzzle brake. ( well, it would if the barrel was not shortened on yours ;o) The Tamiya barrel diameter at the mantlet is 13mm. On the HL, it is 15mm then tapers to 12mm. I don't have a Tamiya barrel to measure but the barrel diameter at the muzzle brake should be 10mm at least. I think that what makes the HL barrel look out of proportion is not so much the diameter as it is the shortened overall length.

The HL definitely looks better shortened... what I worry about is that the airsoft barrels I have are at 13 outer diameter already... taking it down would be at a minimum so it still might look uniform once installed 8O

Alpha,
I think that the airsoft barrel at 13mm at the mantlet should look fine. I can shim it like 'In The Mood' if I have to use the HL Mantlet. The key is to taper it from there to a point where it is at 10-11mm and leave the rest of the barrel at that diameter up to where the muzzle brake goes on. Where the barrel fits into the airsoft gun mechanism will need to be turned down as well so it can have the rubber ring, etc like the one you did for 'In The Mood'. What you are doing is creating an airsoft version of the Tamiya barrel. ;o) Lets put our heads together.

Good to know Painless...It'll make the job much faster ;) .................... :haha: ...Joking aside... it's really what's been holding the production up... wanting to keep it all metal..was trying to find an appropriate sleeve ...at first I had the idea to use an old airsoft barrel.... but there is a gap that would have had to be filled...so that fell through....So kind of glad you will be happy with a straw :haha:

Good Morning,
Alpha, a 'straw' with a taper at the mantlet. *chuckles* Even the HL outer barrel cover is only 12 mm from where the taper ends to where the muzzle brake begins. Your muchly appreciated work will look fine. ;o)

Post from the UK. Thanks again, Dave and Julie! Awaiting the electronics then some last bits from a small yet fiery island in the Pacific and wherever a wiring harness can be found locally, hopefully. Pics:

Alpha,
Thank you! Any difference between the regular eight pin and the one for the 2.4 set?
