Hello RCTankWarfare :D

Post by Giganaut »

hello everyone and greetings :D

you guys can call me Gigs for short
im very new to this forum, been a while having RC Tanks for a hobby.

i hail from Brunei Darussalam, teeny tiny country of and i am guessing that majority would not know where it is and i'll just let you guys find out where it is.

for my tank collection, i have 6 HL tanks in total, 1 Russian(will expand more), 3 German and 2 American. in facebook i am the admin to the Bruneian Armored R/C Regiment, it's still growing.

signing up here to this forum, i wish to expand my knowledge on modelling and kit bashing HL models and scratch building parts.
also my other hobby is to 3d model tanks with google sketchup (fun program) as you can see my works in the Sketchup Redevelopment Tanks thread in World of Tanks' forum located here:
http://forum.worldoftanks.com/index.php ... ntry588784
and currently the thread stretches to 152 pages, and here is my DA page for my 3D works:

Greetings Gigs.... welcome to the board and the adventure... When you have the time... how about sharing some photo's of your tanks... as well as builds ...there are many here who are knowledgeable with most aspects of building these RC tanks..you might also want to check out "other builds" in the board index... there are several scratch builds there :D

Salamat datang Gigs, I have fond memories of your country during that time that was called CONFRONTATION, I remember the generosity of the people and especially the present Sultans Father towards the New Zealand, Australian and British forces at that testing time, a very warm( as though Brunei was not warm enough) welcome to the Forum, I am sure you will enjoy your time here. This Forum is a partnership, we try to help with words of encouragement and advise in return if you know stuff that you believe might help please tell us  shaun

The most important tool is already there... It's your mind... the thought processes it gives to you...as well as the vision and ability to construct.. after that .. a good set of exacto knives + saws...flush cut clippers... a hand drill... pin vise... micro drill bits ...a ruler or something that measures ...amongst the supplies... like brass stock...plasticard... etc.... and maybe some cardboard to make stencils and patterns
