Live streaming video footage from tank

Post by dimomolan »

Hi guys,

I have a strange one for you. Would really, really appreciate your help.

I need a small battery powered video camera (IP wireless?) to put on my Tamiya 1/35 panzer. It needs to be able to stream live footage and audio. Although the video/audio quality does not need to be great. I have wifi in the building if needed but also open to using radio systems. I've thought about a go-pro but it's a bit expensive and the battery life is too short. Motion sensor would be a bonus. Also, I use a mac.

Any ideas????
Am I asking too much? :( :) :|

Thanks

What you have in mind isn't impossible ... but the scale of the tank you want to equip is kind of unrealistic... you have to get something bigger so you can put a proper power supply in it....or just get one of the new RC models that already has the camera built into it ;)

Good luck

Really, i've been seeing some pretty small battery powered cameras about.. Aesthetics aint a thing.
Was thinking of using a spy cam or something like that.

OH... if you don't care what it looks like ... go for it lol....I've seen and sold many small cams...some had transmitters ... which accounts for most of the bulk.... and some just record to a micro chip ...those are really tiny...some the size of a button
The advantage of the go pro would be it's durability... as many of the fore mentioned units aren't waterproof or really shockproof ...so sometimes it's just better to spend a little more ;)
