You're a tortured man WozWoz wrote:Mine can take years.
I sometimes get bogged down in detail, (usually something stupid like working hinges on something that'll never be opened) also I'm easily distracted and start new projects before my current one is finished (working on 4 things at the moment and have 6 other projects that have been shelved for now).
I like a bargin and will sometimes wait to see if I can get an expensive part in a sale or something. Also my hobby funds itself so my tanks are paid for by other tanks that I've bought cheap, done up and sold for a profit (my girlfriend can't complain then, though every time a tank comes through the door she usually says "is that for you or to sell" as we're running out of room).
And my finished tanks are never really finished as they could always do with a touch up here and there when they're in for maintenance.)

No one says anything to me... it's just the way it is... but once I do realize that my mind is offset a little ... I give myself a good slap on the backside of my head ... and set back on the project at hand
Prioritizing is the hardest thing... especially when participating on this board... a lot of ideas and inspiring things go on...I have a girlfriend too... she doesn't mind or say much about my tanks...so long she gets her share of attention lol...the one thing she will do is say something like..."that's cool... but it isn't really you" which simple as it might seem... does help to set things right ...she knows me pretty well

Reason I do set priorities... and time lines...(which sometimes get exceeded ) as I can keep the pressure on myself to one way or another...finish a project instead of having an unfinished project taking up space

Did that make sense ?
