Hi all,
My Turnigy 9X uses a three pin JST plug but only two pin are used (+/- I assumed). I have a lipo that is the right voltage but only has a regular two pin discharge plug. Is it okay if I just snip it and put a same three pin JST on it using only the same +/- as on the Turnigy 9X ?

Re: Turnigy 9X battery question
Hi MichaelC,
Yeah it should be fine. The right LiPo would be a 3s. Leave the balance plug alone (likely to be a 4 pin JST), and replace the discharge plug with a 3 pin JST to fit the 9X, or what I did with mine was to make up an adapter with the JST 3pin at one end and a socket matched to the discharge plug on the other. Just make sure you get the polarity correct, because you will fry the 9x with reversed polarity. A 3s lipo works great in the 9x.

Thanks scalawag, that's what I thought but just wanted some assurance.
