JP 400 Motors

Post by scalawag »

Some interest has been shown in the motors I recently purchased from Sussex Model Centre.

I purchased these in the 400 size.

They are a direct swap for the h/l motors although you will need some way of removing the pinion gear from the original motors and fitting it to these (the shaft is the right size). They will not improve the speed of your tank but they do seem to me to produce a good deal more torque and as a result run more smoothly. I will be fitting these to all my tanks now as for £10 a pair they are a great upgrade.

cheers

As SW has pointed out I got these for a couple of my tanks and as pointed in the above post they did not make it any faster but I was very impressed with the torque they produced a noted difference on my King Tiger .my opinion is a very impressive motor for a great price just remember to get a modelling pinion set

hiya lads, will the motors fit my HL stug 3, motors are astians brass ones? I have a problem with one having higher rpm and pushing my tank one way. this maybe a good fix

Yep should be good to go. I have them in a Pzr III, and I am sure I have also seen a set in a stug. They are the same size as the standard H/L motors and have the same fixings.
They are great motors.

They don't come with a pinion Gear fitted to the shaft so you will need the tools to pull the pinions from your old motors and fitt them to your new motors. The shafts are the same size as H/L motors.
