Re: Removing acrylic paint
What are the figures made of Doc? and what brand of paint did you use ?...I know tamiya strips off pretty clean with alcohol if you soak it long enough...a touch of bleach doesn't hurt...but if the figures are resin...you can't use that method...it might damage the figure...a slow method with alcohol and an old toothbrush usually works ...it's slow and tedious... but safe

Re: Removing acrylic paint
I found the same question not that easy to answer. A toxic and nasty method is break fluid. A cleaner approach others recommended was using something called Simple Green which is non toxic.
However I'd be tempted to use Medea airbrush cleaner since we're only talking about small models.
As for brushes? The AK Brushes are nice, the flat ones anyway and the Mig brand 502 Abteilung brushes are really nice to use. http://migproductionswebshop.com/index.php?cPath=25_37.

From what I can determine from your statement Herman... is you just used alcohol... that usually doesn't work well by itself...some bleach mixed in would help...soak for a few minutes and the paint will start to bubble...then scrub under waterHERMAN BIX wrote:ALPHA wrote:What are the figures made of Doc? and what brand of paint did you use ?...I know tamiya strips off pretty clean with alcohol if you soak it long enough...a touch of bleach doesn't hurt...but if the figures are resin...you can't use that method...it might damage the figure...a slow method with alcohol and an old toothbrush usually works ...it's slow and tedious... but safe![]()
