my patience concentration is now - zero... its probably somwere on forum but I am lazy but can the Tamiya gears be used and work perfectly with the likes of taigen/hl tx.rx simple answers please ......

They should do, just a matter of changing the connectors over.

100% yes, just need to change the connectors as billpe said.
You will however need to use tamiya sprockets or grind down the tamiya axles to take the HL sprockets.
