Alls good for now Shaun... Yeah one tropical storm and one hurricane in succession... first time I've ever seen it happen here...should be Interesting :D
We should be getting the brunt of the tropical storm today... the hurricane on Sunday...the wind is whipping up... but to me it's good wind lol... right now it's just keeping things cool :haha: ... Reason I laugh is because the storms usually bring something called KONA winds... which heat things up... so really right now is really right on!!! :haha: :haha: :haha:

Let me guess, you'll be out there kite surfing & punching Corona's at a hundred miles an hour

Keep safe mate, I know you are in an elevated position(lousy view right ) so batten down the hatches.

Tracks will get wear & snow effect, still have the log, helmets and final seal up & that kind of stuff to do.
Camera has gone to the Rugby club this morning with the Mrs, so I get to play "Mr-Mum" (mom) most of the day.
Like any attentive responsible parent- I will do my best to get more done on this today !!! :shifty: :haha:

Really just settling some form of frozen/compressed in debris/snow/ etc in the treads, and the typical shine on the cleat pad contact areas. As much as I can do to be close to the subject photo really.
Of course the stuff will drop off during used, but the idea is to have the tracks looking in character with the rest for the start at least.
The Mr mum thing didnt really pan out the way my delusion ran !!
Maybe tomorrow when I should be packing.!............. :shh:

I guess it's tough when you are planning a display and plan to play with the tank...used to have the same kind of problems when I built 1/35th scale tanks...the ones with the wired rc..had to be disconnected for display... then reconnected to play... and all the weathering would flake off... too much trouble... for the most part I would just leave it static...running wired RC wasn't that much fun anyway :haha:

Its tough alright.............thinking about how Im going to compound the 'earth' on the correct side of the track cross bars and then try to make that compound seem right to the subject picture.
I did however find a less than desirable but 'authentic' method to create the effect.
Livened up the battery and took him outside in the back yard for a bit of 'prooving' post tracks et-al.
nothing gentelmen I assure you, has as much effect on a mans expression of pride like your mighty Tiger perambulating across the wide open 'steppes' crushing all before it.................................
Umm, until that is when that man realises that the material being crushed before it is...........................
"the bloody kids have not picked up all the dog shit" :O :O :O :O :'( :'( :'(
The canine faecal material and grass debris, sand, dirt etc certaninly DID recreate the effect, but did stop me quicker than a lack of fuel when it came to rectifying the unfortunate oversight.
I understand I have made mention of this project taking on a scent that is somewhat feminine, but THIS was not the plan to overcome this I can give you the tip
Track off, crap out.
If only I can figure out a way of turning my yard into a simulation of a Russian battlefield, with the similar compunds. :S

Cleaned up, got some dry brush weathering done..........
