I hope so too Frank... the 2.4 is a good rig..no trims ...as the sensitivity is quite good on them.... found I can crawl and do slow maneuvers with it...a gentle flick and tanks make a nice smooth directional change as well..the best thing is the range :D

:haha: :haha: Good Luck Frank.... I did the same thing with my first 2.4 conversion...the main gun is a matter of checking the three pin plug next to the 8 pin...usually if it is reversed the gun will only elevate ... the drive direction is just a matter of switching the plugs ;)

Hi Alpha thanks for your reply, I will open it up tomorrow also I am thinking about fitting a micro on/off switch (as I am going near Maplins of maidenhead ) on the tank somewhere that does not show but a lot easier than keep lifting up the model, I think I have seen it covered somewhere in the forum so I will search the site Cheers mate

I think Heng Longs as a whole are the most challenging to hide switches... mostly because they don't make hatches open and such...the most common thing to do is to remove and replace the driver and machine gunner hatches...purchase the aftermarket ones so they can open and hide the switch under those ;)

Good Luck Frank

Hi Frank, as ever very good advise from ALPHA, there is a fine tutorial in the TIPs & TRICKs section on the removal and fitting of the Radio operators and Drivers hatches, I would recommend the TAIGEN hatches as they come in one piece and fit easily onto the ready fitted locating pins.Right now www.welshdragonmodels.com have these complete with periscopes for £6. When you take the body off the hull you will notice beside the gearboxes on the left side ( looking from the front )on the hull two plastic towers close together, a regular HENG LONG on/off switch will fit there with two self tapping screws, TAIGEN use that location for their switch. I hope you are keeping up? So much to do and so little time :/ shaun
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

If you have a lot of stowage on your tank... you can hide things under those as well.... I saw a video once...where the guy attached a bogie to the volume control...had it mounted on the rear deck just behind the engine cover... it looked very clean application wise ;)
