How did you find that hairspray caper mate ?
Pretty easy to get carried away I found.

Was impressed that the hairspray method worked you do have to go easy though
Going for more paint now

Oh yes, its a trap alright !
You cut loose with the wet brush & all of a sudden you need to repaint
Interesting to see how the abrasive effect of sand goes on the paint in the usual areas of wear, keep going mate- the honeymoon is over

Upper hull and turret primered,
Moving along well now. I rebuilt my air cleaners
And am happier with them now. Going to put on the yellow base coat
And a few details. It needs work on the suspension and of course all the electrics and
I want to sort that before final detailing so I don't bugger it up in the process.
I tried doll house hinges and other stuff but my engine cover experiment was a fail
So it is glued back as it was problem solved

I may do a bit more to them in the future? I sprayed dark yellow on the turret
this afternoon. It's starting to take shape
Just have to get a radio and reciever so I can try hooking up the wires.

I can't even see where you did all your mods Mark...very nice clean job you did there I forgot how far you have taken this Heng Long...it's a fine example of a Hybrid...Do you think you will get as involved with your Taigen?

I have quite a bit left on this one , I seem to keep finding things to "fix"
The Taigen is going to be more detailed I think, this one is the learning tank and the taigen should get more detail etc...
However I also have the tamiya I picked up second hand , but as it has the battle system I am going to keep he detail parts to a minimum so they don't all fall off if I ever get the chance to battle with it.
Although I am sure that plan will change as well. This stuff is addictive.
Just ordered some paints on amazon for the current tiger

Bummer about the engine deck hinges after that effort and achievement to cut them out like you did.
Was it a lack of options for them, or just didnt feel right ?

Do the detail stuff while you can Mark ...just know when enough is enough... I know my super detail days are over... my eyes just can't take it anymore...even when I use my magnifier goggles ...I can feel the burn hours after...it also makes me a little dizzy lol
But yes the Hobby is Addictive... not to mention how much extra fun it is once you find out how many variants you can venture into
When I did my Shermans... Man... it was really something... though the research did send me into a tizzy...it was still fun...which has me thinking of a couple others I might want to dive into later one
Your Tigers would be almost the same... though the changes were more subtle ... the variants are there... The research alone could keep you busy lol

Hopefully all to be summed up by saying .. HAPPY TANKING Buddy ...there's years of it ahead
