Nice job on the tools Herman...though in some ways... in comparison with the finish of the tank... they are a little on the "clean" side
They would probably look much better on one of my tanks
Um, thats because at the time thay were fitted, they were clean !!
Funny you should mention that, I have just got in from a family birthday gathering and they hit me when I walked in the door like a fart in a lift.
They are 'blended' in now.
Pics shortly.
pics of the blended tools. Still have the barrel cleanng rod sections to do yet, but I have just given the tow cables the first coat of metalic -surprise, and when they are dry, I can carry on.

On my honeymoon
So no new pics for a bit:)
Yes, you are on your honeymoon...............and you are still checking in here !!?
I took my wife to Europe on ours.................Paris for 3 days, eurodisney, then
-Normandy
- The Somme
- The Ardennes
- Bertchesgarten
- Salzburg
Oh, and some other less notable spots of interest to do with romance or something apparently!!!!!!
Shortened up the tow cables & secured. Had all the clamp sections bluetacked into place for most of the painting etc, so they were quite easy to make ready to fit the cables.
Im not at the working wing nut stage yet, but do hope to be one day.
Used a mix of flat copper, gun metal, and flat black to prep the cables.
They can be dirtied up and have the dry brushed WW once set.
Herman, I think we have had this chat before but wing nuts are easy, Go to TIPs & TRICKs, scroll 13 lines down and you will see how easy it is, and they do add to the build, shaun
Youre right, we have, and agin right, it would enhance. But for now I will have to sit tight . I have left the pins sticking up on the tow cable front clamps for when I get some.
Got the WW out & blended the clean cables and accoutrements in.
Still to do those bloody track towing cables - you can tell Im not looking forward to them for some reason.
Left is weathering and snow etc.
I got a couple of bottles of Humbrol enamel wash the other day, no idea how to use them, but thats what googles for right !
Oil stain and dark brown. Might be handy if not for this then for the inevitable other.
