Boy ... I'm liking those sirens ...Have some homework for ya though... still got a few questions about those torsion rods... are they flat on the bottom or the top...which rods are the rods affected... and how much clearance do you have between each of the affected rods

;o) A picture is worth a thousand of my words so here are a couple of closeups of the torsion bars. The two that are at issue are in the back under the motor mounts. I'm pretty sure that they are working as intended, it is just that the weight of the tank is so much more rear oriented.

Thanks for taking the pics Painless... that's the front correct?...Gave it some thought...and I can actually see three solutions ...all are pretty economical... will PM you with the ideas

;o) Thank you for the compliments. I value your insight and continued attentions. The HL\Taigen headlight has a ring which is larger in diameter than the Tamiya ring and lens. I may carefully sand the ring down. I'm on the fence about it now as the original unit on the tank had no such ring and was a simple bucket, lens retaining ring and lens affair.

Aye, those are the front two torsion bars. They are some of the only ones available to easily see because of the motor mounts or plate that the electronics attach to. Thank you again for working on this.

Hey Painless.... I still haven't drawn up the plan... I know I said I had three solutions...but after reading your reply to Shaun... I am removing two of the options..refining the third a little... I'm pretty sure it should work... as when I studied Taigen's design... I noticed the flaw ... will be in touch soon trying to break down the solution to it's finite point... so it won't take too long or require much work

Alpha, You'll have to tell me the flaw and how to fix it, my Friend. ;o) Scalawag, today I decided to go ahead and remove the huge ring of extra material on the headlight bucket. I carefully removed the Tamiya lens and ring and cleaned them up. Then I got out the Dremel and fitted a router bit and shaved the ring away to the point where fine dressing with a small flat file finished it up. I am much happier with the appearance of the headlight now. Pic:

Hey Painless... the problem is actually pretty obvious .... as I stared at your photos.... it became very apparent... reason I thought of three solutions...but in your reply to shaun regarding his Tiger.... thought two of those solutions might require too much work ...the final solution is much better... think I have it simplified to where all you have to do is remove whatever is covering the suspension...all you will need is a couple screws (self tapping or screw /nut combo)
The problem is the torsion bar is too thin...too long and it's round ...got a really ugly drawing made...but it is definitely not presentable ...I'll pretty it up and PM it to you later
