Hopefully this will work. Otherwise you can try switching the pins on the plug and see if it makes a difference.

MichaelC.

I've plugged it back. The turret works perfectly now  . I like so much the recoil and the spectacular gun flash of this turret.. !

Thank you Michael, thank you Dane ;)

Good stuff. I love the Asiatam recoil. I think it is the most realistic of them all.

Teo, if everything is hooked up and all working other than the sound, then chances are you need to charge up the battery or fiddle with the wires to the speaker and/or the volume switch. That's usually where I get no sound (volume switch wire loose). You are getting the tank recoil, the flash and the barrel recoil, right ?

Yes all work correctly.

I will check battery and wires. Thank you Michael

Good Afternoon,
I just did this with a Torro KV-2 IR turret onto a Taigen KV-1 lower. Everything went as you described, Teo. It took a second try to get the three pin connector wires from the mini board into the right sockets on the plug from the turret. The two black wires switch places in the plug. Otherwise, you have no sound. Also, once you have the connector soldered to the ground on the power switch, don't forget to turn the gun on under the hatch for it to extend the barrel normally. Everything should work after that. Asiatam really does have an impressive flash on their cannons. ;o)

Hi PainlessWolf thank you for your help.

I've checked all. I used another battery (more or less middle charge, but not discharged) and I can say that the gun make the sound but very low and is covered by the engine sound too much high and I've taken note that the flash is less flashing.
On the contrary the 2 front light of the tank are very bright now.

I'made only a change on the wiring yesterday. The wire of the recoil becoming from the mini board to the plug from the turret was very short and I changet it. But I'm starting to think that the new wire was too much thin (I've not al lot of wire avable this moment :) ). Is that maybe the answer to the problem? A not balanced distribution of the electricity in the tank?

Good Afternoon,
That is possible but with the gun sound being inaudible for the most part and your headlights being dim, I would look again at battery issues. How is the engine sound, loud and crisp? Is the wiring that you have soldered protected against accidental grounds? Good luck with this. Electrical issues are most often caused by a " I didn't see that before" kind of error that a careful going over will spot.

loud and crisp could be a correct description :)

You can see the wiring soldered in the previous pictures. The three wires on the little square board and the white wire on the on/off switch

Teo,
Good Luck with this one then. Plugged in correctly with all connections solid, there should not be any dimmed lights or low engine volume issues with the turret swap out. No added resistors should be required with this set up. I did not see where you had added any additional lighting or accessories that would do a current draw on your RX-18. Back to batteries?
